LAWRENCE POINT SITE PREPARATION

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is seeking a qualified Design Build contractor to develop an engineering package and perform site preparation and re-grading of the Lawrence Point site in Astoria, Queens, NY. The goal of the project is to prepare the approximate 5 acre site for future development of energy infrastructure, including relocating existing underground utilities to the perimeter of the site. The site currently has no buildings or structures other than abandoned slabs-on-grade and foundations of industrial buildings that previously existed on the site.

Generation of M-scope and GPR reports to facilitate the clearing of below grade interferences and prepare the site for future installation of foundations, and utilities associated with the new development.

The Lawrence Point site is adjacent to NYPA’s Zeltmann Power Project and NYPA’s Poletti Administration Building in Astoria, Queens, all of which are located within the complex at 31-03 20th Avenue, Astoria, Queens, NY 11105.
