Albany Pine Bush 19 acre timber harvest

The Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission (Commission), as part of its wildlife habitat restoration program, is seeking bids for the selective timber harvest of 19 acres of maple, cherry, cottonwood, locust, aspen, and white pine trees in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.

This timber harvest will require whole tree removal, is to be completed between November 11, 2024 and April 25, 2025 and requires appropriate tree cutting, removal and processing equipment. Additionally, the contractor selected must be electrically qualified due to adjacent powerlines.

Interested parties are strongly encouraged to visit all 19 acres and make their own determination of timber volume.
