HOMEFIX PROGRAM AFFORDABLE HOME REPAIRS FOR OWNER OCCUPIED 1- TO 4- FAMILY HOMES

Description:

Enterprise Community Partners and the NYC Department of Housing Development and Preservation ("HPD"), in partnership with the Center for New York City Neighborhoods, Restored Homes HDFC, AAFE Community Development Fund, Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City and The Parodneck Foundation, have launched HomeFix, a program intended to empower New York City homeowners to address repair needs in their homes. HomeFix works closely with low- to- middle income homeowners in need of critical repairs who have limited access to financial resources. The HomeFix Program provides resources to owners of one- to- four family homes by pairing the scoping and completion of home repairs with low-interest and forgivable loans. In addition, connections to financial and housing counseling services are provided to homeowners.

The attached RFQ seeks to qualify responding organizations interested in participating in the Program as general contractors to perform repairs and renovations through HomeFix on qualified properties. This new citywide home repair program is projected to provide loans for repair jobs to between 300-450 homeowners. Selected general contractors, with Program and HPD approval, will be engaged for the duration of the program barring any unsatisfactory performance and negative feedback on HPD sponsor reviews. Please submit a response to the RFQ as per the instructions detailed in the document itself if you are interested in applying as a general contractor for the HomeFix program. There is no current submission due date, as applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.
