C40281 Boiler Replacements at LaGuardia and Spring Creek Bus Depots

Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: This Contract will remove and replace the existing boiler systems servicing the office areas. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Selective demolition; 2. Installation of new high-efficiency condensing boiler systems with new pumps, radiators, piping, safety, controls, etc. for both locations; 3. Installation of the following: reinforced concrete pads to support the new boilers, mechanical ventilation systems to provide air for combustion and ventilation, louvers with automatic dampers that comply with boiler room ventilation requirements, chimneys for the boilers with insulated breaching and access doors between the boilers and chimneys; 4. Replacement of all existing appurtenances, including but not limited to, vent lines, expansion tanks, pressure gauges, backflow preventers, drain valves, check valves, circulators, controls, pipes, and fittings; Sealing all new penetrations required for the proper installation of all pipes, vents, and conduits for the new boiler systems; 6. Repair damage to surfaces, walls, and existing structures caused during the removal of existing boiler units; 7. Installation of new boiler systems and provision of power supply and electrical work as required.
