Term Contract for Trades: Data / Communication

State University of New York Farmingdale State College will receive sealed Proposals for a Term Contract for Trades: Data / Communication, Project No. 2025-06 until 10:00AM Local Time on March 11, 2025. Submission of two original executed copies of the Bid Form and all attachments specified in the Project Manual are required in a sealed envelope marked accordingly. Bid is for term contracts for time and material type work for the following trades:

• Data/telecommunications

Sealed bids shall be submitted and mailed or delivered to Farmingdale State College Procurement, Attn: Taylor Nappie, 2350 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11769,
Mailed bids should include the title of the bid, project number and time for internal campus mail delivery.

Bids will be opened publicly at the Service Building Conference Room A at Farmingdale State College 2350 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11769. For each proposal submitted, the following information will be read aloud: 1) name of contractor; 2) trade for which they are bidding; and 3) The markup percentages entered on the Bid Form. SUNY Farmingdale will review all bids and verify accuracy of minimum qualifications and submission of all required documents. 

A pre-bid information session will NOT be held.

The term contracts will be signed with selected contractors for the specified period of time to engage and complete numerous defined projects each with a maximum value of $100,000 or less. Each separate project will be called a “RELEASE”. The term contracts will be issued for a period of three years with the mutual agreement of the contracting parties.

ALL BIDDERS MUST REGISTER WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID.

Public Work Contractor and Subcontractor Registry

• Starting December 30, 2024, all contractors and subcontractors submitting bids or performing construction work on public work projects covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law are required to register with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) under Labor Law Section 220-i.

• Contractors must submit their certificate of registration at the time the bid is made.

• Contractors are responsible for verifying that subcontractors are registered. Subcontractors must be registered prior to commencing any work on a covered project.

• Contractors need to register before submitting any new bids or commencing new work on a covered project on or after December 30, 2024. Subcontractors need to register before commencing new work on a covered project on or after December 30, 2024. NYSDOL encourages all contractors and subcontractors to register as soon as possible to obtain a Certificate of Registration to avoid negatively impacting a bidding period or project schedule.

Due to a pre-bid conference NOT being held all questions regarding the bid documents must be sent in writing to Taylor Nappie at Taylor.Nappie@farmingdale.edu, AND soutbj@farmingdale.edu no later than February 21, 2025 at 4PM. All responses will be released in an addenda no later than March 3, 2025 at 4PM.
Any questions that come in after the above-mentioned date will not be answered.
