Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Initiative for CORE Psychosocial Rehabilitation Designated Providers


Description:

NOTE: For all Not for Profit applicants, If your Vault was not Prequalified in Grant Gateway by 12/15/2023, you will have to restart the process (from start to finish) and Prequalify in Statewide Financial System (SFS) once it goes live on 1/16/24. You must be Prequalified by the due date and time of this RFP in order to have your application considered.

Please be advised that due to the Grants Gateway shut down from 1/10/24-1/16/24, the due date for this RFP has been extended to 2/7/2024.  Applications will still be completed in the Grants Gateway.  Any work completed before the shutdown will not be lost but no work can be completed during that time. OMH encourages applicants to get as much work done as possible prior to the 1/10/24 shutdown date.

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) announces the availability of funds to support the implementation of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Initiative. This funding is specifically targeted for Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE) Services providers designated to provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) to fully implement the IPS model of supported employment.

Eligible applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current designation to provide CORE Psychosocial Rehabilitation,
  • The agency must be assigned to OMH as host agency for their CORE Services or the applicant must request that their host agency change to OMH as part of the application for this contract, and
  • The agency must serve at least 50 unique individuals in CORE PSR, as measured through claims paid from 06/01/2022 through 05/31/2023.

Providers serving at least 100 unique individuals in a single county, or providers serving at least 70 unique individuals in two or more counties, will be eligible for funding to support two IPS Employment Specialists.
