East Garden City Substation

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is soliciting proposals for the design and construction of a new 345 kV, 63 kA, 3000 A, gas-insulated substation (GIS) in East Garden City New York within a 2.5 acre footprint. The substation will need to be energized, tested and commissioned by the deadline designated by the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) as part of the Long Island Offshore Wind Designated Public Policy Project; the current in-service date is May 31st, 2029, for the Upgrade Facility. Where practical and beneficial to the Project, the Authority has and/or will directly procure the long lead time equipment.
