Uptown Podium Main Fountain – Electrical and PLC Repair

The State University of New York at Albany will receive sealed bids for project number P-1321 titled Uptown Podium Main Fountain – Electrical and PLC Repair until 2:30 pm. local time on September 10, 2024, at University at Albany, Service Building “A”, Room 103, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Work covered under this contract includes but is not limited: replace non-functional or damaged LED fountain lighting as indicated on plans, remove and replace fountain control conduit and wiring with submersible conduit and properly rated wet location conductors as necessary when damaged conduit or wiring are found in the course of replacing damaged or non-functional LED lighting. Repair tower lighting control circuits both at the base of the tower to allow for full lighting control functionality. All LED lights at the base and top of the tower are to be replaced per design drawings. Install new control system for DMX lighting and pump VFD’s.

 All work on this Contract is to be completed within 60 calendar days, starting five (5) calendar days after the contract approval date of the Office of the State Comptroller.

A pre-bid walkthrough to review the scope of work and site conditions will be held on September 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Interested parties to meet at Uptown Campus University at Albany, Service Building “A”, Room 103, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222. where the architect will review the project drawings and specifications prior to the site visit at the Podium Main Fountain.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. A bidder must demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, that it has successfully completed three (3) contracts similar in size, scope, and complexity to this contract within the last five (5) years.

Contractor must be able to secure material, labor & performance bonds for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $300,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from Wicks Law.

Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
