Description:

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) at the date and time as identified in the Schedule of Important Dates and Times in the Project Manual and shall be publicly opened and read at the Olympic Center, 2608 - 2634 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946, in the Conference Center in the “North Elba Room”, for the:

Contract Name: 1932 Rink / Jack Shea Arena & 1980 Rink / Herb Brooks Arena Contract

 

The Contract work shall be delivered under the framework of a Project Labor Agreement. In general, the contract scope includes: All labor, tools, equipment, materials, temporary facilities and profit & overhead for the completion of the Work for the 1932 Rink / Jack Shea Arena & 1090 / Herb Brooks Arena Contract that includes coordination and management, demolition, modification, renovations of architectural and structural systems, mechanical systems, plumbing system and electrical and information technology systems. Work includes hazardous materials abatement. Completion of the work on schedule is critical to the other Contracts associated with the Olympic Center Revitalization which are to be let at a later date.

 

The completion of the 1932 Rink / Jack Shea Arena & 1980 Herb Brooks Arena Contract and subsequent contracts are critical to the financial stability and success of the Olympic Center and ORDA and to the financial stability the region. Therefore, the 1932 Rink / Jack Shea Arena & 1980 Rink / Herb Brooks Arena Contract shall have provisions for Liquidated Damages.

 

Project Labor Agreement Projects require a completed form OEPC 59P (Project Labor Agreement List of Subcontractors) be filled out and submitted (included in a separate, sealed envelope) in accordance with the Project Manual, Supplemental Instructions to Bidders – PLA.  Failure to submit form OEPC 59P correctly will result in a disqualification of the bid.

 

Work shall be completed as per the “Schedule of Important Dates and Times” in the Project Manual. A “Preliminary Schedule of Important Dates and Time” is provided within this Advertisement to Bidders for general information. The final “Schedule of Important Dates and Times” shall be provided in the Project Manual’s Notice to Bidders and shall supersede the “Preliminary Schedule of Important Dates and Time”. Additionally, other critical schedule milestone dates which will allow the facility to operate are included within the Project Manual.

*The Pre-Bid shall be done by Video Conference.

 ***Latest date of Addendum release. Owner may release Addendum prior if need be.

 

Project Cost Estimate Range: $22,000,000 - $24,000,000
