Repair Facades - Melville Library and Staller Center


Description:

SUNY Stony Brook's Melville Library and the Staller Center are existing concrete and brick masonry buildings that have areas where the exterior envelope is damaged and allowing water to infiltrate the system.  The work of this single-bid project intends to address these damaged areas.  Work to include selected areas of masonry repointing and replacement; lintel repairs; sealant repairs and replacements; stucco repairs, concrete spalling and crack repairs; coping stone repairs and replacements.

Plans will be available after September 16, 2020 through Superstructures Engineers + Architects (nshah@superstructures.com or 212-505-1133). A walk-through has been scheduled for September 23, 2020 at 1 PM, with all attendees meeting at the north entry of the Melville Library near the bookstore.

All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs.  Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 9/13 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
