Any questions regarding this RFP should be directed to Tony Cesare at tony.cesare@greenislandpowerauthority.com or 518 – 944 - 6149. There will be on site scope of work meeting dates August 26th, 27th, and 28th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 

This is a prevailing rate project. All contractor(s) and/or sub-contractors must meet OSHA and NYS Labor Law Compliance. Current prevailing rate information can be found as an attachment to this request for proposals.

 

Bidder is required to submit proof of Workers Compensation and General Liability Insurance for all contractors and/or sub-contractors with bid. BIDDER MUST ALSO COMPLETE ATTACHED NON-COLLUSION BIDDING CERTIFICATION.

 

Scope of work to include the following:

 

3, 45’ poles to be replaced; various locations in the village;

 

  • Pole Locations:
    • Hudson Avenue – Pole 28
    • Hudson Avenue – Pole 29
    • Hudson Avenue – Pole 30
  • Contractor will supply all labor and equipment
  • Contractor will supply a list of materials needed, 4 to 6 weeks prior to start of work, must include what type of material is needed for backfill
  • Contractor is responsible for picking up all materials @ 50 Cohoes Avenue, and delivering to job site
  • Contractor is responsible for all traffic controls and safety procedures
  • Contractor must notify GIPA if an outage is needed, to provide adequate time to customers (must give notice before disconnecting power)
  • Contractor is responsible to bring all old materials / debris to 50 Cohoes Avenue
  • GIPA is responsible for properly disposing / recycling all used materials
  • GIPA will supply all materials
  • Contractor will meet GIPA on all jobs prior to the bidding
  • Contractor will meet GIPA 4 weeks prior to start of the job

 

 Exclusions:                  Building permits fees, if required.

 

 

THIS PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL BY NOVEMBER 6, 2020.
