LED Lighting Upgrade at 1, 2, and 3 UN Plaza

The United Nations Development Corporation (UNDC), a public benefit corporation of the State of New York, is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and install LED lights at portions of One, Two, and Three UN Plaza.  The buildings are Class A high-rise commercial office buildings located in east midtown Manhattan.  The buildings will be occupied and operational throughout the duration of the project.  The UNDC properties are managed by Cushman & Wakefield.  The general contractor’s work will include all equipment, materials and labor to:

• Remove old bulbs, fixtures and/or ballasts
• Furnish and install new bulbs, fixtures and/or ballasts
• Dispose of all materials

The minimum required qualifications are as follows:

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in this field.
• Licensed by the State and City of New York.
• Liability insurance of $5,000,000.
• A resume of current assignments in New York City at comparable Class A office buildings.

Procurement Lobbying Restrictions

MWBE / SDVOB Participation Requirements

Pursuant to New York State Executive Law Article 15-A and Veterans’ Services Law Article 3, UNDC is required to promote opportunities for participation by New York State-certified minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOBs) in the performance of its contracts.  The MWBE goal for this contract is 30%, and the SDVOB goal is 6%.  If the contractor is not an MWBE or SDVOB, they should consider utilizing MWBEs and SDVOBs as subcontractors and suppliers.
