Agrivoltaics Research and Demonstration Projects

Description of goods to services to be bid:

Agrivoltaics integrate solar energy generation and agricultural production on the same parcels of land. There is a growing interest in determining how to best implement agrivoltaic projects and better understand potential agricultural productivity while also generating clean electricity.

Request for Proposals (RFP) 5752 will promote a broader understanding of the costs, benefits, opportunities, and market potential for agrivoltaics in NYS by funding agrivoltaic demonstration projects across a range of solar designs and agricultural commodities.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

The successful proposers must have a project team that can demonstrate the necessary technical, operations, and administrative experience needed for successfully completing this project as well as the depth of personnel available to perform important tasks outlined in the RFP.
