Purchase and Delivery of Particulate Samplers

Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of 5 units particulate sampler (TEI 2025I or equivalent). The NYS Division of Air Resources, Bureau of Air Quality Surveillance (BAQS) is purchasing this equipment to replace aging equipment at the end of its service life.  BAQS maintains a network of air monitors throughout the state and reports the data to EPA and the public via the DEC website and the EPA AQS system.  The  monitoring is required by the EPA via the Clean Air Act.  Air quality instrumentation must be maintained and updated to guarantee that the data generated is valid and complete.  One of the criteria pollutants that is required to be measured is particulate matter (PM2.5).  This purchase is for PM2.5 equipment used to collect filter-based samples analyzed to determine particulate concentrations over a continuous 24-hour sample period.
