METRO – Bus Rapid Transit Bailey Ave Corridor ImprovementDescription: The NFTA is seeking a consultant to develop a design package for the Bailey Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, including design, engineering, and environmental assessment. This project will include full street design, stations, terminals, passenger and staff amenities, and bus and transit signal priority measures. The intent of the project is to improve service with a faster, more convenient, and more comfortable experience for the rider; improve the safety and aesthetics of the corridor by incorporating lighting, landscaping, wayfinding, public art, and other amenities; and enhance pedestrian and bicycle mobility through enhanced connections to transit. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) invites a consulting services proposal for services as set forth within. These services may be modified during contract negotiations between the Consultant and the NFTA. The Consultant is encouraged to use its previous knowledge and experience to develop a Proposed Scope of Work and a time schedule for completion within the constraints identified. The adequacy of the Consultant’s response, as it pertains to the construction program, will be a principal basis for evaluation of the proposals. This RFP does not commit the NFTA to negotiate a contract, nor does it obligate the NFTA to pay for any costs incurred in preparation and submission of proposals or costs incurred prior to issuance of a Notice of Proceed. The Consultant shall not commence work without first receiving a written Notice to Proceed. Proposals will be accepted until November 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. via online (electronic) submission only. Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. All questions shall be submitted in writing no later than one week prior to the proposal due date. Refer to the website Instructions for electronic submission. Paper proposals will not be accepted. This website is primarily used to receive bids for capital projects; any reference to bid in the website will be synonymous with proposal. References to the "bid opening" are synonymous with the "proposal due date and time". Proposals received after the date and time specified shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be considered for award.
