SMD_Sewer Rodding with Water Jetting & CCTV Camera Inspection,Various Queens and Staten Island Developments


Description:

The following items of Work are required and included in this Contract:

  1. Removal and disposal of debris including, but not limited to: leaves, wood, plastics, sludge, grease, dirt, and other semi-solid and solidmaterials. 2. Clean existing underground sewer piping from house trap from the building(s) to the connection to the city sewer. The house trap pit shall also be cleaned. 3. Perform close circuit television (CCTV) inspection and video recording of the sewer pipes before and after cleaning. 4. Provide to NYCHA a written report of the condition of all sewers, including any broken or collapsed sewers. Also evaluate the condition of sewers based on video recordings and include these findings in the written report. 5. Provide all equipment, power, etc. to maintain drainage during operations. Provide all temporary by-pass piping, hoses, pumping system, energy, etc., to continuously maintain house sewer service during any interruption of such service. 6. The pipe cleaning can be accomplished by either: (i) Hydro Jetting (high pressure stream of water which is effective against greases and fats); or (ii) rodding of pipe (mechanically breaking down the obstructions within the path of the sewer line). 7. The Contractor, after completion of cleaning of pipes, shall inspect those pipes in question, by camera inspection to observe any potential defects the pipe may have. 8. Prior to rodding, the Contract shall dewater and pump water out of flooded areas (e.g. basement, boiler room, crawl space, etc.) for below grade areas. 9. The Contractor shall also sanitize affected areas as required after the rodding and cleaning of sewers is completed.
