2025 Street Resurfacing ProgramDescription: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Amsterdam Amsterdam, New York 2025 Street Resurfacing Program General Notice City of Amsterdam (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 2025 Street Resurfacing Program Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City Clerk’s Office located at City Hall, 61 Church St Amsterdam NY 12010, until May 19th,2025 at 11:00 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project includes the following Work for a Base Bid: Resurfacing Market Street from Prospect Street to the north side of the intersection with Van Dyke Avenue via milling or overlaying existing asphalt with a trueing and leveling course with a binder course and/or a top course of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) meeting NYSDOT Specification Section 403, as provided in the May 1, 2008 edition. Rebuilding and/or resetting manhole and catch basin frames and grates/covers. Removal and replacement of sidewalks at intersections where indicated on the project drawings to meet the current ADA standards. Pavement markings as specified in the contract documents will be items of work in the BASE BID of this project. NYSDOT Specifications are referenced for materials and placement requirements. Prospective bidders should note that certain components of project work shall be included in the various bid items of the contract. Add-alternates may be considered for this project and are listed in the bid documents. Bids are requested for the following Contract: 2025 Street Resurfacing Program Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Amsterdam - City Clerk Office 61 Church St, Amsterdam NY 12010 Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. If shipping is requested, the Contractor to provide the City with FedEx or UPS account information. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, electronic documents on USB flash drive will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service.
