2025 PJM Request for Proposals for Capacity or Capacity and Energy

Description: PSEG Long Island, LLC (“PSEGLI”), on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority (“LIPA”), is issuing this 2025 PJM Request for Proposals for Capacity or Capacity and Energy (“2025 PJM RFP”) primarily for the purpose of maintaining reliability for its Long Island customers. LIPA is seeking to procure either (i) up to 685 MW of Capacity from one or more generating facilities located in the PJM Control Area (the “Capacity Product”), or (ii) Capacity Product and Energy Product from the same Project(s).

This Procurement will accept Products offered from existing or new Projects located in the following load zones within the PJM Control Area: (i) JCPL LDA or (ii) EMAAC. 

For Products proposed from existing Projects, the term shall begin on June 1, 2030.  For Products proposed from new Projects, the term shall begin no earlier than June 1, 2030 and no later than June 1, 2034.  Details are in the RFP posted on the PSEG LI website at: . https://www.psegliny.com/en/aboutpseglongisland/proposalsandbids

The Capacity Product must be eligible to qualify as Locational Installed Capacity for Long Island (Zone K) under the applicable NYISO Rules
