PART 1 - DESCRIPTION OF WORK

1.1   WORK TO BE DONE

1. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 151191/1497, titled CWB Replace RTU-1 & ACCU-4 Cooling Equipment and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents.

1. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The removal and replacement of the existing RTU-1, CRAC-4 located in the server room and the associated roof mounted ACCU-4.  This includes all electrical, plumbing, fire protection and architectural work required to support the equipment replacement.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within 180 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.50 made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University, is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses.

A pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM with all contractors assembled at the Main Lobby of University Hospital, 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, New York. No individual walk?throughs will be provided.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
