IFB0334 MALDI-TOF Mass SpectrometerDescription: The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets contracts with Cornell University to function as the New York State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory through the Cornell University Animal Health Diagnostic Center (AHDC). The AHDC operates a Quality Milk Production Services (QMPS) Program through four regional laboratories in Canton, Cobleskill, Ithaca and Warsaw, New York. The QMPS Program serves the dairy industry of New York State by promoting the production of high-quality milk through the control of mastitis, and the avoidance of antibiotic residues in milk through field and laboratory diagnostic evaluations and recommendations. The Department, on behalf of the AHDC is seeking to acquire a MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer to be used in the QMPS Lab in Canton, New York to identify mastitis pathogens more accurately and quickly in milk samples allowing milk producers to better manage infections.
