Request for Proposals

 RFP No. PW-H61587-72CM

The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction management and inspection services in connection with the following:

Construction Management Services and Inspection Services for

Resurfacing - Phase 72

Atlantic Avenue Rehabilitation PIN 0762.13

The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Construction Management Unit: Highway/Bridge Construction Group for the for- Resurfacing Phase 72-Atlantic Avenue Rehabilitation from Milburn Creek Bridge to South Main Street. Services may include providing one Resident Engineer, one Office Engineer, and two Construction Inspectors as needed for managing all construction related activities, contractor claims, and construction related engineering services. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded a two (2) year Agreement with the County.

Sealed Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the location specified within the RFP.  No late proposals will be accepted.

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.

The successful Proposer will be required to comply with a 20% DBE goal for this project as per Federal requirements expressed in Title 49 CFR Part 26. All vendors shall submit DBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
