Backflow Prevention Device


Description:

VS 2025-001 Installation of a Backflow Prevention Device at Valley Stream State Park

The purpose of this project is to provide and install a new 4-inch backflow Preventer in a new heated enclosure for the water service servicing Valley Stream State Park to comply with water authority of Western Nassau County

Requirements. The scope of work also includes removal of the existing 2-inch water service bypass line, new electrical service for the new heated enclosure, water service modifications, and replacing of the existing electrical feed to the existing parking lot gate operator.

 

Work shall start after October 1st, 2025. All submittals and buyouts shall be submitted/completed by October 1st, 2025. Work may begin earlier only at OPHRP’s sole discretion.
