The State University of New York at SUNY Old Westbury will receive sealed bids for project number SOW11172025 titled W.O.R.K.S. until 2 p.m. local time on December 10, 2025, at SUNY Old Westbury, Campus Center, H-303, 223 Store Hill Rd., Old Westbury, NY 11568, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within/by January 25, 2026.

Scope of Work

The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number __________,  titled ___W.O.R.K.S____Project________________  and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents.

The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following:

SUNY Old Westbury is soliciting bids to update rooms in the Campus Center building on the second floor. This project will update Rooms H213, H216, H220, H222, H213–Painting Accent walls in each office, H216 A conference room will have installed a 55” Television This will include painting, adding electrical wiring and single-gang data boxes, H220 & H222 upgrading a classroom with new technology, repair floor tiles and painting

You will be working in concert with the computer networking team

General Requirements:

• All work must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes.
• Conduit and cabling pathways must comply with TIA/EIA low-voltage standards.
• Use appropriate wire gauge (minimum 12 AWG for 20A circuits).
• Label all new circuits at electrical panels and receptacles.
• Coordinate final placement of all outlets and data boxes with Facilities and IT staff.
• All work must be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician.
• Work shall be scheduled to minimize disruption to building operations.

Entryway to H220 & H222

Objective: Install electric, network cable boxes for 55” CreateBoard

Install One (1)Duplex outlet box 18” down from Fire alarm and 85” from Right side wall for a 55” Createboard

Use existing circuits for electricity

Install one (1) single-gang data box with 3/4" EMT conduit run to the Ceiling for network cabling.

Prepare wall for painting (Spackle, tape, sand, Prime).as needed

Paint wall Sherwin Williams – Koi Pond – HGSW7727

Room H220:

Objective:  Renovate the classroom with new technology, paint, flooring and Electrical

• Demolition and Preparation:

Front wall

• Remove White Boards
• Install (1) Duplex outlet box to accommodate 86” Smartboard In front of room (replacing projector screen) 166” from heater and 60” off floor, used exciting circuit for electric

• Install one (1) Quad-Gang data box, with drag lines to CreateBoard with 3/4" EMT conduit run into the ceiling for network cabling and Install 1” conduit from Quad-gang data box to podium for HDMI Cable and USB Cable

Right side wall

• Install (1) Duplex outlet box to accommodate 65” Smartboard on right side wall across from door 98” from corner and 60” from the Floor using exiting circuit for electric

• Install one (1) single-gang data box for CreateBoard, with 3/4" EMT conduit running to the Soffit for network cabling for Smartboard.

• Renovation and Installation:
• Prepare walls for painting (tape, spackle, prime, paint).as needed
• Painting walls (Same color as H213).
• Paint Purple Wall – Accent wall (Sherwin Williams – Koi Pond – HGSW7727).
• Prepare Door frame (Both sides) for painting (sand, prime).as needed
• Paint Door frame (Both Sides) (same color)
• Replace broken floor tiles – same color and pattern as needed

Room H222:

Objective: Renovate the classroom with new paint, flooring, and Electrical

• Demolition and Preparation:

Front wall

• Remove White Boards
• Install (1) Duplex outlet box for electrical to accommodate 86” smartboard in front of room replacing projector screen 88” from Heater and 60” from floor using existing circuit for electric

• Install one Install one (1) Quad-gang data box, with drag lines in it for Smartboard, with 3/4" EMT conduit run to the ceiling for network cabling and Install 1” conduit from Quad-gang data box to podium for HDMI Cable and USB Cable

• Remove broken floor tile that needs replacing as needed

• Prepare walls for Painting (tape, spackle, sand, prime).as needed
• Prepare window frame for Painting (sand, prime)
• Prepare door frame both sides for Paint (scrap, sand, prime)

• Renovation and Installation:
• Paint walls (same color)
• Paint Accent color on Left side wall - Sherwin Williams – Koi Pond – HGSW7727
• Paint Door Frame (Same Color)
• Paint windows frame (same color as walls)
• Replace broken floor tiles – same color and pattern

The selected contractor must ensure all electrical work supports the above devices, including the installation of outlets, circuits, and any necessary load balancing in accordance with code requirements
