Notice is hereby given that the City of Amsterdam will accept bids for:
PIN 2755.12, Replacement Bridge of Crescent Avenue over North Chuctanunda Creek Shall be the proper project name that is shown throughout all project documents
Contract will be awarded based upon the lowest qualified bid. To obtain electronic copies of the Contract Documents and become a Registered Plan Holder, please visit the MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. (MJ) Plan Room located at https://www.mjteam.com/bids. Contractors that obtain the Contract Documents from a source other than the issuing office must notify the issuing office in order to be placed on the official Registered Plan Holders list to receive Addenda and any other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Registered Plan Holders list will not be accepted. Contract Documents will be available starting on March 5, 2025. No questions or inquiries regarding this bid will be accepted within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening date. The last date for submitting questions will be Friday, March 28, 2025. Questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed to MJ’s Engineer Contact through email at deckert@mjteam.com. Bidders shall promptly notify MJ of any errors, omissions, conflicts, or ambiguity within the Contract Documents within three (3) business days of bid opening. All bids must include the complete Bid Form. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, a bid security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of his bid, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information to Bidders.
Simultaneously with their executed contract, the successful bidder must deliver to the City of Amsterdam an executed performance and completion bond in a form meeting the City's approval, in an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid as security for the faithful performance and completion of this contract, and also a separate bond guaranteeing prompt payment of monies due to all persons supplying the contractors or subcontractors with labor and materials employed and used in carrying out the contract, and having as surety on the bonds such surety companies as are approved or acceptable to the City of Amsterdam.
The City of Amsterdam, through the City Clerk’s Office, reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All work shall be subject to equal opportunity in employment, State wage rates and all other requirements in accordance with applicable law.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The attention of the bidder is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wages to be paid, in addition there in addition there is a 6% DBE goal for this project.
Bids to be considered must be received in a sealed envelope at the City of Amsterdam City Clerk’s Office, 61 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 by 11:00 AM EDT on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall. Bids received after the above noted time will not be accepted.
