Seminars in Science Distance Education Courses

Description:

The City University of New York, on behalf of The School of Professional Studies intends to procure, for a period of five (5) years, distance online courses (Seminars in Science) with the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH).

Product Specifications: Seminars on Science offers thirteen online graduate courses in the life, Earth, and Physical SCIENCES. Unlike other programs that exist, the courses offered through Seminars on Science are science content courses, not science education courses, which are geared towards science educators. This distinction is critical, as many students need science content courses for teacher certification and continuing education requirements.

The distance online courses (Seminars in science) are developed by the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH). “The Solar System” (ASTRO610), "Evolution" (BIO610), “Ecology” (BIO615), "Genetics, Genomics, Genethics" (BIO620), “The Brain: Structure, Function and Evolution” (BIO630), “Virology and Epidemiology in the Time of COVID” (BIO635), "The Diversity of Fishes: Classification, Anatomy, and Morphology" (BIO640), "Dinosaurs: Evolution, Extinction, and Paleobiology” (BIO670), "Earth Inside and Out" (ESCI610), “Climate Change” (ESCI620), "The Ocean System - Integrated Science" (ESCI650), "Water: Environmental Science" (ESCI651) and "Space, Time and Motion" (PHY630).
