The State University of New York at Stony Brook University at the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH) will receive sealed bids for project number MP2 #25227/FAI #36-069, titled ADA Courtyard Repair, until 3:00pm local time on July 25, 2025 at the Long Island State Veterans Home, 100 Patriots Road, Stony Brook, NY 11790 in the Purchasing Department of the East Pavilion, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Any proposals received, whether hand delivered or mailed, after the opening time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened to the Contractor. All work on this project is subject to New York State Prevailing Wages and Certified Payroll submission as per the New York State Department of Labor, PRC #2025006849, and is to be completed within five (5) years, starting ten (10) calendar days after the contract approval date.
The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to, Central Courtyard and Roadway Drainage based on Architect’s documents (Base Bid), Add Alternate 1: North Courtyard and Roadway Drainage based on Architect’s documents, Add Alternate 2: Negative Pressure Units Conversion for A/B Units – concrete excavation and footing for Negative Pressure canopy and roof deck, Add Alternate 3: Negative Pressure Units Conversion for C/D Units – saw cutting, trenching and backfill for gas piping and electrical utilities, excavation, removal and install concrete for AHU pads and duct supports, Add Alternate 4: Bath Exhaust Modifications – excavation and install concrete for exhaust fan pads, trenching and backfill for electrical work, Add Alternate 5: Front Entry Curb and Roadway – front entry ADA curb removal and bollard installation, Add Alternate 6: Loading Dock and Ramp – rebuild and repair loading dock and ramp and furnish and install new railing, Add Alternate 7: East Pavilion Rook In-Fill Drainage – furnish and install a roof trench drain in the In-Fill area.
Project Budget is approximately $10,000,000

A mandatory walk-thru is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. local time, meeting at the front entrance lobby.

The bidding and contract documents will be available for pickup at the walk-thru on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 only. The documents will be transferred/transmitted on an USB Flash Drive only, with a complete hard set available for viewing at the Long Island State Veterans Home. Documents will not be available after the walk-thru.
Contractor must have at least ten (10) years’ experience with similar healthcare projects of this nature. Please provide a minimum of three (3) references included with proposal.
Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to ensure usage of Minority (MBE) and Women-Owned Business (WBE) enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy in order for the LISVH to be in compliance with the Governor’s directive for increased participation of 20% (10% MBE, 10% WBE). A portion of the project funding is Veterans Administration related therefore requiring the completion and submission of Federal Debarment forms with each proposal. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
