Yates County Public Transit Provider

The County of Yates, New York (the "County") is currently seeking qualified providers interested in providing Public Transit Services in Yates County. The objective of this proposal is to select a qualified organization or agency to administer, operate, and maintain Public Transit Service (PTS) in the County.

The Yates County Legislature seeks a qualified organization or agency to deliver the following components of a transit system to serve residents, businesses, and guests:

• The provision of regular, fixed route services, designed to provide transit service to key population centers of the County during as many days and hours each week as is deemed financially feasible;

• The provision of pre-scheduled, on-demand services to and from locations in the County;

• Partnerships with County employers and stakeholder organizations to provide additional services to specialized populations in Yates County.

Proposers interested in providing said service are invited to respond to this Request for Proposal (RfP), and are encouraged to offer improvements, innovations, and other potential modifications that would drive value to system users and County taxpayers.

The County intends to select a provider that delivers the best solution for the County's needs via this RfP and/or through the state’s authority provider.

The County reserves the right to amend this RfP at any time. The County reserves the right to reject any of the proposals, or any part thereof, submitted in response to this RfP, and reserves the right to waive formalities, if such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to request additional information from any proposer. The County reserves the right to award negotiated contracts to one or more proposers.
