Safety Huber Needles and Related Items


Description:

Stony Brook University Hospital intend to purchase Becton Dickenson Safety Huber Needles and Related Items from a contract awarded pursuant to their authority under section 163(3)(vi), which authorizes the purchase of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors who sell the equivalent products may, if interested, contact the Officer listed below to discuss the procurement.

This procurement is subject to NYS Finance Law §139 j&k, AKA the Lobbying Law. Therefore, vendors are cautioned that the only permissible contact for this procurement is the individual listed below. Failure to comply with this requirement can range from no contract to debarment from sales to any NYS Agency. Successful contractor shall be required to complete and submit documents related to Vendor Responsibility, NYS Finance Law 139, NYS Tax Law Section 5-a, and valid/current NYS Workers’ Compensation and Disability Forms.

Other New York government entities as authorized by State Finance Law and General Municipal Law, and other departments, agencies or instrumentalities of the United States government as well as any department, agency, office, political subdivision, or instrumentality of any state or state(s) who are permitted to do so by their procurement laws and regulations, may utilize the Agreement upon securing all legally-required approvals. Private entities, cooperatives and consortia may also utilize the Agreement with the express approval of SUNY and the Contractor.

If you propose to submit a pricing, it must be received by COB of the due date listed below.  If you’re not the referenced manufacturer. Samples may be required to be clinically evaluated.

Due Date: 05/01/2024 3:00 PM

Contract Term: Concurrent with GPO contract period 03/01/2024 through 02/28/2027. In the event that contract# PP-NS-1889 is extended, SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital reserves the right to extend the resulting agreement for the same term.
