C-Trap Dymo Short Tether Package Upgrade


Description:

The University at Buffalo intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law §355 (5) (a), which is up to $125,000, for a C-Trap Dymo Short Tether Package upgrade. The Short Tether upgrade must include the minimum requirements and be compatible with the existing C-Trap Dymo 300 Optical Tweezer-Fluorescence Microscope system and Bluelake software. A sealed bid will not be held. If you are interested in providing a proposal for the above commodity or a university approved equivalent, you must contact the appropriately designated Campus contact in this advertisement within 15 business days of this Advertisement Notice.

 Package Upgrade Minimum Requirements:

  •  Active Trap Stabilization
    • Stabilizes distance of two optical traps for long-term observations
    • Compared to a non-stabilized setup, drift is reduced by a factor 2 to 4
    • Drift level of <0.5nm/10minutes1x and 2.8x magnification changer positions
  • Nanostage 3D
    • Piezo-controlled
    • Conduction of single-molecule force spectroscopy surface assays
    • Maintenance of constant force in the x- and y-direction
    • Integration of z-movement in the confocal scanning software for 3D enabling
  • Active Force Calibration
    • Sinusoidal force application to trapped beads to minimize variability
  • Advanced Piezo Trap Tracking
    • Fast bead position readout up to 78 KHz
    • Independent molecular tether length
    • High temporal resolution
  • Baseline Correction
    • Recording of crosstalk for signal-to-background ratio optimization
  • Shipping, Handling and Insurance charges
  • Lead Time four to eight (4-8) weeks
