Bird Waste Cleanup and MaintenanceDescription: This Contract includes the removal, cleaning, handling, and disposal of scat at various State operated facilities. The high nutrient content of accumulated scat provides an excellent growth medium for organisms of potential human health concern. Humans may become infected by inhaling microorganism laden dusts containing dried feces, urine, or respiratory secretions of infected birds. Other sources of potential exposures include a bite from an infected bird, bat, or rodent, and handling the plumage and tissues of infected animals. The purpose of this solicitation is to remove the scat before any potential health problems occur. This is a full-service contract. Contractor must provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, travel, all other ancillary (administrative, insurance, reporting, overhead, profit, employee training, parking, etc.) costs and equipment, consistent with the applicable health and safety codes, rules, and regulations necessary for the removal and cleaning of scat from State operated facilities. If any equipment is needed at any facility to remove scat, it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide this equipment and obtain approvals as necessary for the equipment’s proper set-up and operation. Cleaning work resulting from this IFB shall be in accordance with The United States of America Secretary of The Interior's Standards For Rehabilitation. (36 CFR Ch.
