BEE-LINE TRANSIT FARE POLICY AND FARE STRUCTURE ANALYSIS STUDY

The County of Westchester acting by and through its Department of Planning, is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide the County with a transit fare policy and fare structure analysis study for its Bee-Line Bus System.

The goal of this study is to determine optimal fare structure policies for Westchester County to consider for Bee-Line as it prepares to replace its existing MetroCard fare payment media with the MTA’s new fare payment system known as OMNY.  These policies may deviate from Bee-Line’s current fare structure and policies, and should better reflect the County’s needs and the services to which Bee-Line passengers have access. The options to be proposed shall consider equity, modal integration, transfers, customer convenience, and operational and financial feasibility, among other factors.  It also will consider potential implementation of a bus network redesign that may impact future ridership patterns of Bee-Line passengers.
