P25 RADIO NETWORK ENHANCED BYPASS SWITCH SYSTEM UPGRADE AND INTEGRATION FOR PORT AUTHORITY POLICE DEPARTMENT (PAPD)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey intends to establish a sole source contract with Eastern Communications, Ltd. located in Queens, NY, to provide the following:

TITLE: P25 RADIO NETWORK ENHANCED BYPASS SWITCH SYSTEM UPGRADE AND INTEGRATION FOR PORT AUTHORITY POLICE DEPARTMENT (PAPD)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The existing agency wide PAPD P25 Radio Network system, including the Enhanced Bypass system is maintained by Eastern Communications Ltd. (Eastern). To ensure compatibility, to facilitate integration with the existing system, to reduce operation and maintenance costs, and to maintain single source maintenance responsibilities, it is necessary to retain service and acquire equipment from Eastern.

Firms who believe they can compete for this requirement are required to submit via email a brief statement of their intent to compete. The statement and any other questions regarding this sole source should be directed to the Buyer, Cooper Zablocki at czablocki@panynj.gov by May 8, 2025. The Port Authority does not guarantee that firms responding to this notice will be rendered a request to tender an offer for this procurement. In addition, the Port Authority does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement, but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
