ODELL HOUSE RESTORATION: BUILDING SYSTEMS & INTERIOR FINISHES
Description:
This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. All bidders are subject to the terms of the State of New York Contract for Grants - Standard Terms and Conditions, which can be found online at https://grantsmanagement.ny.gov/state-agency-resources and the Town’s website, www.greenburghny.com. This project includes the insertion of mechanical systems throughout the building; insertion of plumbing, primarily in the north addition; expansion of the electrical system to serve the entire building and site; insertion of partitions in the north addition; the insulation of the exterior timber-framed walls; and the completion of interior finishes. This project will also address fire protection, egress, and ADA compliance. Complete sets of the drawings, specifications and bid forms, becoming available to the public on July 25, 2025, may be viewed and downloaded at no charge by visiting the Town of Greenburgh website at https://greenburghny.com/Bids.aspx. A pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled on August 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM local time at the site at 425 Ridge Road, Hartsdale, New York as publicly advertised. Attendance is mandatory and a pre-requisite to submitting a bid. Each bidder must deposit with his bid a certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company, or a bid bond with a Bonding Company Licensed to do business in the State of New York, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Said deposit will be considered as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the necessary bonds and insurance for the work, if awarded to him, and will be forfeited to the Town of Greenburgh as liquidated damages if he fails to do so, within the specified time. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to the provisions of the General Municipal Law. The Town Board reserves the right to determine responsibility based on an evaluation of the Contractor's qualifications, experience, organization, finances, past performance, and other applicable factors. The Town Board further reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
