SOI 1212 Settlement House ProgramsDescription: The New York State Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS) announces a Solicitation of Interest (SOI) to identify qualified organizations that meet the criteria of a Settlement House*. A Settlement House is an independent, voluntary, not-for-profit organization or neighborhood center engaged in community work and social services delivery in a defined neighborhood in the state of New York. The Settlement House statewide funding opportunity will award contracts to eligible organizations for the purpose of enhancing and coordinating activities and programs, expanding programs to serve more individuals and families, and/or promoting interagency coordination with other neighborhood organizations offering complementary services. OCFS intends to contract with each successful applicant as well as current Settlement House contractors. Eligible Settlement House organizations must provide comprehensive, coordinated, family-focused, multigenerational human services such as childcare, employment training, housing assistance counseling, youth development, educational services, counseling, senior services, and arts and cultural activities based on the needs of the neighborhood. The contracts developed under the terms of this Solicitation of Interest will provide support to children, youth, adults, and families across generations in a manner that supports the overall wellbeing of the neighborhood served by the Settlement House. Services and supports will be designed to meet the needs of neighborhoods in an equitable manner. Please see the Scope of Work section for additional information. The purpose of this solicitation is to invite any new eligible and interested organizations that believe they can satisfy this program’s needs to inform OCFS by a Letter of Interest (LOI). To be considered responsive, your organization’s LOI should be received no later than the deadline specified on the first page of this announcement. OCFS intends to contract with all eligible entities based on the eligibility criteria outlined in this announcement.
