Battery Park City Pile & Platform Assessment & Remediation Design Services

In furtherance of the Battery Park City Pile Remediation Design Project (the “Project”), BPCA hereby requests proposals (individually, a “Proposal” and collectively, the “Proposals”) from experienced engineers (individually, a “Proposer,” and collectively, the “Proposers”) to provide underwater inspection, assessment, design, and engineering services for the remediation of specified concrete piles that provide structural support to a relieving platform in Battery Park City, as well as construction administration services and pile testing for the Project (collectively, the “Services”), as specified in the Scope of Work (attached hereto as Exhibit A). BPCA will procure the Project’s construction services separately.

The Services shall include, but not be limited to:

1. research toward, and provision of, recommendations for a phased pile remediation program; and
2. preparation of design and construction documents for contractor bidding; and
3.  preparation and submission of all required permitting-related documentation; and
4. provision of contractor bid support; and
5. construction administration tasks; and,
6. performance of all required pile testing.

Addenda, if any, will be posted to BPCA’s website. All Proposals must meet the requirements listed in the RFP.

Restricted Period:

Proposers are restricted from making contact with anyone other than the Designated Contacts (identified below) during the period from the time of publication of this advertisement through approval of the procurement contract by BPCA (the “Restricted Period”). Employees of BPCA are required to record certain contacts during the Restricted Period, including, but not limited to, any oral, written or electronic communication with a governmental entity under circumstances where a reasonable person would infer that the communication was intended to influence the governmental entity’s conduct or decision regarding the governmental procurement, and to make a determination of responsibility based, in part, upon any such contact. Failure to abide by this process may result in a finding of non-responsibility.
